Camera Story Limited

Camera Story Limited is a registered charitable organisation operating on Djugun and Yawuru Country in Broome, located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The organisation was founded by photographers Sarah Landro and Jacqueline Warrick, whose shared passion for photography and commitment to supporting First Nations people culminated in the establishment of Camera Story thirteen years ago. The founders’ journey began over fifteen years ago when they met while studying photojournalism in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Mission and Vision

The mission of Camera Story is to empower First Nations communities by fostering artistic expression and skill development through photography. It aims to provide these communities with opportunities for independence, self-determination, and creative expression. The vision is to open doors to new prospects for work and self-expression, ensuring a platform for underrepresented voices.
