Co-Ground Limited

Co-Ground Limited is a registered not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to supporting community-led projects that create sustainable and meaningful change across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Founded in 2015 in response to Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu, Co-Ground has grown from a single village initiative into a global community focused on empowering local people to lead their own development. The organisation operates with a strong belief in self-determination and places complete trust in the communities it supports to design and implement projects that address their unique needs.

Mission and Vision

Co-Ground’s mission is to address disadvantage and entrenched inequality by resourcing and backing Indigenous and grassroots, community-led change. Its vision is a future without disadvantage, where empowered communities lead the change themselves. The organisation champions sustainable solutions that are deeply rooted in the strengths and aspirations of the people and places it serves.

Main Objectives

• Support community-led and community-owned projects that create long-term impact
• Champion self-determination and empower local leaders and changemakers
• Build sustainable infrastructure and improve access to education, health, water, and sanitation
• Promote equality, including women’s empowerment and child rights
• Develop employment and training opportunities, especially for Indigenous young people in Australia
• Maintain long-term partnerships and ensure rigorous monitoring and evaluation of outcomes
