Inland Rivers Network Inc

The Inland Rivers Network (IRN) is a coalition of individuals and environmental groups dedicated to advocating for the health of rivers, wetlands, and groundwater systems within the Murray-Darling Basin, with a particular focus on New South Wales. Established in 1991, IRN works to ensure the long-term ecological sustainability of these vital riverine ecosystems, recognising their importance for biodiversity, ecosystem functions, and the wellbeing of communities that depend on them.

Mission and Vision

The mission of IRN is to promote the conservation of biological diversity, maintain essential ecosystem functions, and restore degraded habitats in the rivers, wetlands, and groundwater of the Murray-Darling Basin.
