Rest in Reef: Unique Memorial Reef Project

The flagship project of Jurien Bay Community Men’s Shed is the Rest in Reef initiative, an innovative memorial reef that blends the ashes of loved ones into specially designed reef balls made from durable concrete. These reef balls are placed offshore to create an artificial reef, offering families a unique way to remember and honour their deceased relatives. The project also includes a memorial service on the beach, allowing friends and family to witness the placement of the reef ball and celebrate the life of the departed.
