Annual Rockhampton Eisteddfod Competition

The annual Rockhampton Eisteddfod is a competitive arts festival that serves as the association’s flagship activity. This prestigious event showcases various performance disciplines including dance, instrumental music, piano, speech and drama, and vocal performances. Attracting approximately 5,000–6,000 young performers annually, the competition provides adjudication and performance opportunities for children, young adults, and school choirs and bands across the Capricorn region and beyond.

Rockhampton Eisteddfod Association aims to advance culture and the arts within the community by staging an annual competitive festival. The organisation envisions a thriving cultural landscape where young people develop self-esteem and confidence through performance opportunities, whilst celebrating the region’s artistic talent on both regional and national stages.
