ShoreTrack Ltd is a community development organisation dedicated to providing an alternative approach to education and training for young people who are disengaged from the traditional school system. Founded in 2020 by Jill Ashley and Paul (Fatty) Ireland, it aims to support disadvantaged, disengaged, high-risk, and vulnerable youth in the Nambucca Valley of New South Wales.

Mission and Vision

ShoreTrack’s mission is to equip young people with both life and work skills, enabling them to re-engage with school or vocational training and shape their future pathways into employment or further education. Their vision is for all young people in the Nambucca LGA to have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

Main Objectives

The organisation focuses on nurturing personal growth and development through a supportive, practical, work-based environment. It links young people to opportunities in education, training, or local industries, providing a holistic and flexible approach to address their challenges.

Benefiting Groups

ShoreTrack primarily supports youth aged 15 to under 25, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those living in rural areas. Their programs are designed to cater to the diverse needs of these groups.

Types of Services or Activities

ShoreTrack offers a range of programs and services, including:
– Hands-on training and life skills development.
– Social enterprise initiatives that connect young people with real work environments.
– Wrap-around support such as transport, meals, mentoring, and access to specialist services.
– Specific programs like First Tracks, Track Back, and Rural Ops, which focus on different age groups and skill development needs.
