• To ensure that all funds are locally raised, through private donations, community fundraising, and bequests, maintaining a strong connection between the foundation and the Batemans Bay community.

The foundation’s primary beneficiaries are young people residing in the Batemans Bay area—specifically those living within the boundaries of North Durras, Nelligen, and the Moruya River—who are completing their secondary education (Year 12 or earlier) and planning to commence full-time tertiary study, an apprenticeship, or a traineeship in the following year. The grants are also open to students taking a gap year before resuming their studies.
