Derwent Valley Arts Inc. is a community-based, volunteer-run organisation dedicated to enriching Tasmania’s Derwent Valley by promoting the arts and fostering cultural engagement within the region. Established to enhance the quality of life in the Derwent Valley, it collaborates closely with artists, arts organisations, government bodies, businesses, and the wider community to create vibrant artistic opportunities.

Mission and Vision

The organisation’s mission is to develop, deliver, and promote a diverse program of arts events that celebrate and support the creative talents of the Derwent Valley. Its vision is to establish a dedicated Derwent Valley Arts Centre that serves as a hub for artistic expression and cultural development, while encouraging and supporting arts-based economic activities to strengthen the local creative economy.
