Dominican Education Australia Ltd

Dominican Education Australia Ltd is a Ministerial Public Juridic Person established in 2016 by three congregations of Dominican Sisters: the Dominican Sisters of North Adelaide, the Holy Cross Congregation of Dominican Sisters in Adelaide, and the Dominican Sisters of Eastern Australia and the Solomon Islands. It provides canonical and civil governance for six educational ministries across New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia, continuing a legacy of Catholic education inspired by the spirit of St Dominic and the Gospel.

The mission of Dominican Education Australia Ltd is to nurture its Education Ministries as places of excellence in teaching and learning within the Catholic tradition. The vision is to enliven and extend the works of the founding Dominican Congregations, inspired by Jesus Christ and St Dominic’s legacy, ensuring the ongoing vitality of Dominican education in Australia.

• Overseeing the canonical governance and civil management of six schools: Cabra Dominican College, St Dominic’s Priory College, St Lucy’s School, St Mary’s College, Santa Sabina College, and Siena College.
• Providing formation programs for trustees, leaders, and educators to deepen their understanding of the Dominican charism and Catholic mission.
• Supporting educational excellence through strategic planning, leadership development, and resource management.
• Encouraging social outreach and justice-focused initiatives aligned with Dominican values.
• Facilitating collaboration among the schools to share best practices and strengthen the Dominican educational identity.
