Elephant Aid – Helping Humans is an Australian not-for-profit charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka and Timor Leste. Since its formal registration in 2023, the organisation has built on nearly two decades of grassroots support, channelling 100 per cent of donations directly into projects that address essential needs such as education, healthcare, clean water, electricity, and empowerment for people with disabilities.

All initiatives are implemented through trusted local partners, including Rotary and Rotaract clubs and the Care Lanka Foundation, ensuring transparency and accountability. The charity’s hands-on approach, personal connections with beneficiaries, and commitment to direct, measurable impact set it apart in the humanitarian sector.

Elephant Aid – Helping Humans’ flagship activity is the direct funding and oversight of community-driven projects in Sri Lanka and Timor Leste. Each project begins with a request from a trusted local partner, detailing the needs of a school, hospital, family, or village. After careful review and cost assessment, funds are transferred to the partner, who manages the project from start to finish. Regular progress reports, photos, and videos keep donors informed, and all projects are documented on the charity’s Facebook page. This model ensures that every donation has a clear, tangible outcome, whether it’s building classrooms, providing wheelchairs, or installing clean water systems.
