The charity is governed by an inaugural Board comprising a Chairperson, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Compliance Officer, and seven additional Board members overseeing volunteer operations.
Community Impact and Support
Empowering Plantagenet Seniors operates with a dedicated team of volunteers and receives support from local sponsors including the Mount Barker Co-Op, Plantagenet Meats, Great Southern Development Corporation, and the Shire of Plantagenet. The organisation welcomed approximately 100–110 seniors at its inaugural open day in August 2020 and continues to grow its membership and volunteer base. The charity welcomes volunteers with skills in food preparation, social engagement, kitchen duties, gardening, and craft activities.
