FOCUS Military Ministry Incorporated

FOCUS Military Ministry Incorporated is an independent Christian organisation dedicated to making Christ known within the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Their mission is to provide recent entrants to the ADF with the opportunity to understand and embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ. By working within several ADF training bases, FOCUS Military Ministry offers voluntary on-base Bible discussions, small groups, and social activities. The overarching goal is to develop trainees’ values, beliefs, and character, thereby preparing them for their service to the nation.

Mission and Vision

FOCUS Military Ministry’s vision is for every person joining the ADF to have the chance to know the Lord Jesus. They aim to achieve this by engaging current and future trainees, proclaiming the gospel, and equipping Christians for Christ-centred lives in the military. The ministry prioritises working alongside chaplains, other Christian ministries, and local churches to ensure trainees can effectively live out their faith within the ADF.

FOCUS Military Ministry offers FOCUS Nights, which are weekly gatherings centred around building community and spiritual growth through scripture study. Bible studies are conducted in smaller groups to facilitate discussion and deeper understanding. Additionally, one-on-one mentoring sessions are available to provide personalised support and guidance in navigating both spiritual and military life challenges. Through these activities, the organisation remains committed to making the teachings of Christ accessible and meaningful to trainees.
