Melbourne Robocats: From Silence to Strength - Girls Rebuilding Their Robotics Legacy
This compelling documentary follows the Melbourne Robocats, an all-girls robotics team fighting to break barriers in a male-dominated industry over their decade-long legacy. After reaching 7,000+ people through outreach and winning the Engineering Inspiration Award at world championships, the team faced devastating shutdown on July 20th, 2023.
Losing sponsors, workspace, and registration, the determined girls spent months battling against the clock to secure reinstatement through petitions and negotiations with FIRST Australia.
Their resurrection demonstrates how passion for STEM education can overcome seemingly impossible obstacles to create lasting change.
