Illawarra Women’s Health Centre is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting women of all ages, abilities, and cultural and linguistic backgrounds. It provides a safe, women-only space where comprehensive health care and well-being programs are accessible, affordable, and tailored to meet diverse needs. The Centre is committed to fostering a supportive environment that empowers women to improve their physical, emotional, and social health.

The mission of Illawarra Women’s Health Centre is to offer a range of feminist, comprehensive, and integrated health care and well-being options for women in a unique, safe, and empowering setting. Its vision is a community where women and girls are respected, safe, healthy, and experience full participation and equality in all aspects of life.

Main Objectives

• Provide free or low-cost medical, allied, and complementary health services.
• Deliver health and well-being programs, groups, and education to enhance women’s health.

• Support women experiencing domestic, family, and sexual violence through specialised services.

• Financial counselling and outreach services to assist with budgeting, advocacy, and navigating social services.

• A dedicated Young Women’s Program that builds resilience and confidence through school-based and individual support.
• Development of the Women’s Trauma Recovery Centre, providing long-term healing and support for survivors of violence.
