Sandgate Men’s Shed

The Sandgate Men’s Shed is a community-based organisation that provides a welcoming and supportive environment where men can come together to socialise, learn new skills, and contribute to their community. Established in 2010, it has grown significantly and now operates from the Brighton Health Campus, offering a space that fosters camaraderie and wellbeing among its members.

Mission and Vision

The mission of Sandgate Men’s Shed is to enhance the mental and physical wellbeing of men by providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where they can connect, share skills, and support each other. Its vision is to be a vibrant community hub that promotes positive health outcomes and meaningful social connections for men of all ages in the Sandgate and surrounding areas.

Main Objectives

• Promote mental health and wellbeing by reducing social isolation and encouraging active participation.
• Provide opportunities for skill development in woodworking, metalwork, pyrography, and other crafts.
