U3A Sunshine Coast Incorporated

U3A Sunshine Coast is a self-help non-profit organisation based in Queensland that promotes healthy ageing by providing educational, creative, and leisure activities for seniors and retirees. Established in 1986 as the first U3A in Queensland U3aonline, the organisation operates on an all-volunteer model with approximately 2000 members U3aonline.

U3A Sunshine Coast offers more than 120 courses covering a wide range of subjects and activities U3asunshine, with classes held at various venues throughout the Sunshine Coast and hinterland region. The organisation follows the motto “Learn, Laugh, Live” and is designed for people who no longer work full-time but wish to continue learning and broadening their horizons. Members volunteer their skills, knowledge, and life experiences to provide classes for other members, creating a supportive community learning environment.

Annual membership costs just $45 U3asunshine, giving members access to all courses and activities.

Diverse Course Programme for Active Learning

U3A Sunshine Coast delivers a comprehensive course programme featuring over 120 classes across multiple categories including academic subjects, arts and crafts, health and fitness activities, and social programmes. Activities include aquacise, cycling, table tennis, tennis, ten-pin bowling, Tai Chi, yoga, croquet, golf, and lawn bowls School and College Listings, alongside lecture series, language classes, and creative workshops. All courses are delivered by volunteer tutors who share their expertise with fellow members throughout four terms annually.
