VFBV Welfare Fund: Supporting Volunteers in Need

The VFBV Welfare Fund is the charity’s flagship project, providing financial assistance to CFA volunteers, former volunteers, and their families experiencing significant hardship. Established in 1913 and relaunched in 2008 with government support, the Fund offers small grants to alleviate stresses such as illness, bereavement, or loss of income, helping volunteers maintain their vital community roles. Over 1,000 brigades subscribe annually, ensuring ongoing support for those who serve Victoria’s communities.
