Youth Now: 20 Years of Empowering Melbourne's Western Youth
Youth Now, based at the Busy Cares Hub in Melbourne’s west, has spent 20 years helping young people transition from school to employment. CEO Colleen Bergen and Board Chair Steven Tosi lead an organisation passionate about innovative, transformative projects supporting education and employment pathways.
Their supportive environment features a youth-designed tech hub with virtual reality, robotics, and STEM equipment. Young people gain hands-on experience through job activities, reception work, and mentoring programmes connecting youth with employers like Key Business Advisors. Intergenerational projects see young people teaching technology skills to older community members.
